Welcome to the Earn Your Stripes Mock Season!
CONCEPT:
This Mock Season is an experiment to see what drivers would do if they were forced to EARN what keeps them afloat more than anything: Sponsorship. At the start of the season, all entries will be forced to run a blank black car. There is only one way to make your ride more colorful: Win! It's simple. Each race will have a sponsor assigned that will be revealed a little bit before the green flag. The winner of that particular race wins sponsorship from that sponsor.
SEASON:
The first season (2015) will run with an almost accurate 2015 roster, on the 2013 Gen6 mod (the Toyota grill has been edited to look as if it was 2015). It will run with the real life 2015 schedule, along with current Chase system. The only difference is that the field for each race has been minimized to 42 drivers.
DRIVERS:
There will be minor differences to the roster at the beginning of 2015, the big one being there will be no injuries to Kyle Busch or Brian Vickers, meaning both of them, as well as David Ragan, will run as usual. Brett Moffitt and Chris Buescher will NOT run in the Daytona 500, but may appear later on in 2015. Kurt Busch will NOT be suspended, meaning no Regan Smith for the first 3 races. The one-race deals for the Daytona 500 will NOT take effect, meaning Brian Scott, Johnny Sauter, Michael Waltrip, and others will not run Daytona, and instead will be replaced by the driver who typically runs that car. A few of the underfunded teams have minor driver changes just to create less confusion. And lastly, the #66 of Premium Motorsports will be a Chevrolet, and NOT a Toyota.
The 2015 season will be starting soon!
