The field has finished qualifying for the 11th race of the season the Hudco Electric Supply 300 at the Barrie Speedway.
Scott Steckly won the pole, with a time of 16.866 seconds, beating Ryley Seibert by 0.050 seconds.

Steckly was polesitter in the actual race as well.
Also of note, this championship looks like it'll be a close battle between Steckly and D.J. Kennington, both of whom had a close battle for the championship in real life as well. In reality, Steckly won the championship by TWO POINTS. Could that be case here as well? We'll find out soon enough.

Race #11 - Hudco Electric Supply 300
It was a cloudy day in Barrie, Ontario, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 11 at the Barrie Speedway for the Hudco Electric Supply 300.
Scott Steckly led the field to the Green Flag but it would be Ryley Seibert who would quickly drive himself into the lead and was quite a surprise as he easily lead the most laps, 186 out of a possible 300, but with alittle less then 100 laps to go, the rear end in his car would break and ending what could have been a possible win but instead ending up with a last place finish. With Seibert out of the way, Alex Guenette would become the new leader and lead until suddenly his rearview mirror showed a sight he didn't want to see, the points leader D.J. Kennington, catching him quickly and would pass Guenette and would score an important win.
Other Noticeables:
D.J. Kennington scored his 3rd win of the season,
Kennington led 1 time for 11 laps, including the final 11 laps,
It was the 19th win of his career in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and his first since Riverside 3 races ago,
D.J. Kennington, who finished 1st, kept his points lead, leading Scott Steckly by 9 points

Scott Steckly won the pole here in real life (while Donald Chisholm started 4th), but he starts 10th here, 4 spots behind his championship rival D.J. Kennington. Steckly still has a chance to claim this championship just as he did in real life, but he's gonna need a lot of luck to pull it off!

Race #12 - Pinty's 250
It was a cloudy day in Fraserville, Ontario, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 12 at the Kawartha Speedway for the Pinty's 250.
Donald Chisholm led the field to the Green Flag as he would quickly jump out to a huge lead as the last race of the season gave Scott Steckly one more chance to try and get around D.J. Kennington for the championship lead. Both drivers would struggle and would not lead a lap but would remain in the Top 10 all race long but up front Chisholm's car faded after the first pit stop and would hand the lead over to Noel Dowler, who appeared on his way to a win. However, slowing moving up from his 14th starting spot was Peter Shepherd, who has been winless in three years, was not going to be denied as he took the lead late and would stretch his margin and would easily score the win, at the same track he scored his first win.
In the battle for the championship, both Steckly and Kennington stayed in the Top 10 all race long not allowing either driver to gain much as by the end of the race it was Steckly finishing ahead of Kennington, but was unable to gain enough points to beat him as Kennington wins back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.

2013 Canadian Tire Series Year End Review
Last October I started my third year of playing through the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and it turned out to be a very fun year to watch play out. When I originally started reviewing these series the Canadian Tire Series was one I never had much interest in doing to begin with but over time I've come to enjoy it for not only the new different drivers but also new tracks I had never used before. In 2011 Scott Steckly won the championship and D.J. Kennington won in 2012 and oddly enough it would be a showdown between both drivers all year long that was settled in the final race on the final lap. The 2013 season could be described in one word: dominance.
Of the twelve events race, seven was won by either Scott Steckly or D.J. Kennington and together both led a combined 937 of the 2,227 laps. There were several boring races like when Scott Steckly led all 30 laps and won at Circuit ICAR or when J.R. Fitzpatrick would dominate at Delaware leading all 200 laps to score his only win of the season, but it was fun seeing the cars race and fight and it was just as fun as seeing the trucks or cup race. In the end D.J. Kennington won the championship for the second year in a row and will be a strong contender to win his third straight in the 2014 season.
