RACE 1 - ATLANTA 100 - 65 LAPS - ATLANTA, GA
Coming into the first race of the series, adrenaline was pumping, drivers wanting to be the first of everything this season; first pole winner, first lap leader, first winner... first champion... Billy Wade got to be the one to be the first pole winner with a time of 31.390, and he lead them to the green, but his lead didn't even last a lap as he was passed by John Rostek in turn 1. On lap 49, a big crash caused by Jack Smith having a mechanical problem, Jim McElreath went up on his roof in this crash. After it was all said and done, they took the white right after catching the lapped car of Jim McElreath, McElreath got hit by the #09 of Sal Tovella and went around, more than 10 cars involved, and 2 cars, Gene Hobby and Sal Tovella flipped over.
