Race #3 - CRS Express 300
It was a clear day in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec, Canada as the NASCAR Pinty's Series entered Round 3 of the 2016 season at the Autodrome Chaudiere for the CRS Express 300.
Gary Klutt led the field to the Green Flag for only the second time in his career and much like he had done when he won his first pole at CTMP over a year ago, Klutt would dominate the first half of the race before being passed by both Mark Dilley and Donald Theetge, who was tapped by then 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Scott Steckly to drive for him in this race. Donald Theetge would make his team owner proud, dominating once he took the lead as he would lead 145 of the event's 300 laps but the course of the race changed when the first caution flew.
With drivers making pit stops, Andrew Ranger decided to take only left side tires and would take command of the lead. With help of two other cautions during the last hundred laps, Ranger was able to keep all challengers at bay and would go on to score his second win in the last three races as well as breaking a tie with D.J. Kennington and Scott Steckly for most wins in the NASCAR Pinty's Series.
