To keep things fair with actual IROC rules, the starting lineup for the third race will be the point standings but inverted.
Here is how the field will line up for the fourth and final race of the season at the Watkins Glen International.

Race #4
The IROC Series made their 4th and final stop of 1986 at the Watkins Glen International, in Watkins Glen, New York.
For the first time in IROC Series history, drivers raced at the Watkins Glen International, Rick Mears would lead the field to the Green Flag but it was Mid-Ohio race winner Bobby Rahal who would lead the first lap before NASCAR star Darrell Waltrip took over the lead. Waltrip and Rahal would pull away from the rest of the field as Rahal tried everything he could to get around Waltrip but it wasn't enough as Waltrip's lead grew over the final ten laps to over three seconds as Waltrip scored his second career IROC Series win. Finishing in 5th was Al Unser Jr., scoring just enough points to become the 1986 IROC Series Champion, winning the title by 2 points over Waltrip.
Other Noticeables: Darrell Waltrip scored his 1st win of the year, Waltrip led 1 time for 29 laps, which was the final 29 laps, It was the 2nd win of his career in the IROC Series in his since 1984 at Alabama; 8 races ago, Al Unser Jr., who finished 5th, is the 1986 IROC Series Champion, winning the title by 2 points over Darrell Waltrip
1.17-Darrell Waltrip (29 laps led) 2.2-Bobby Rahal (1 lap led) 3.7-Klaus Ludwig 4.20-Hurley Haywood 5.6-Al Unser Jr. 6.1-Bill Elliott 7.8-Hans-Joachim Stuck 8.10-Rick Mears 9.11-Al Unser 10.18-Cale Yarborough 11.4-Jochen Mass 12.5-Harry Gant
