Race #6 - Radisson 200The Indy Racing Northern Light Series made their 6th stop of 2000 at the Pikes Peak International Raceway, in Fountain, Colorado, for the Radisson 200.
Scott Sharp led the field to the green as like previous races at the one mile track, Pikes Peak would be a challenge for drivers, as ten cautions would fly and multiple drivers would contend for the lead, with Sharp holding control for much of the race until Eddie Cheever Jr. took command of the race and appeared on his way to victory, but suffer a flat tire while leading and lost a lap, handing the lead over to Mark Dismore. Once in the lead, Dismore would have to be on defense for the last half of the race as he had to hold off challenges from Eliseo Salazar and Tyce Carlson to score his second win of 2000.
