KHI adds 2 development drivers In addition to current future star Cale Gale, Kevin Harvick Incorporated part-owner DeLana Harvick announced today that the 2-car Nationwide Series team will add Tayler Malsam and David Mayhew to its roster in 2008. Malsam, whose contract runs through 2009, will run 4 races in the #33 Old Spice Chevy next season, while Mayhew, whose contract runs through 2010, will run 3 races in the #77 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevy. Malsam joins Gale and Tony Stewart in the #33, which will surprisingly not have Kevin Harvick behind the wheel next season. "As odd as this may seem, the only Nationwide action I'll have next season will be with RCR and not for my own team," said a grinning Harvick. "I'll still be able to run races, but this allows us to add Tayler to our team and help keep the pipeline of future talent alive." Meanwhile, Mayhew joins Ron Hornaday, Brendan Gaughan, and Tony Raines in the #77. "I really want to thank Kevin and DeLana for giving me this chance next season", said the 25-year old Californian. "Stepping up from K&N West to the Nationwide Series is a big move, and for them to trust me enough to put me behind the wheel of their race car means just so much to me, I can't thank them enough". DeLana Harvick also told reporters that the organization is finished with its roster for next season, and will finalize its driver lineups once the 2008 schedule is released. (FoxSports) (5/16/07)
