Armando Fitz announced today in the early afternoon in a statement that its staff FitzBradshaw Racing will close the plans for the Winston Cup Series following the seventh race, which will be held in Fort Worth.
Fitz highlighted in this release that even Kerry Earnhardt will make a full season in the Busch Series, and the closing team in the Cup is due to this. Check out the official statement in full:
"It is with great sadness that I announce, through this text that the FitzBradshaw Racing team will close the Winston Cup Series, the # 83 car sponsored by Aaron's and piloted by Kerry Earnhardt.
FitzBradshaw Racing is unfortunately not getting great results and has been keeping it unfeasible without the resources back.
The team of the Busch Series will remain the same. Was talking to the driver Kerry Earnhardt and crew chief Bob with the Temple that the #12 Supercuts will do a full season this year."
The team sponsor, Aaron's, did not comment on that. Experts say the company should use its investment in Michael Waltrip Racing, thereby helping Buckshot Jones doing more races in 2003.
