The 40-year old driver, current sensation of the season along with Ricky Craven, Dave Blaney signed a two year contract with Richard Childress Racing.
Blaney signed after a great start to 2003 and a good 2002 with Jasper Motorsports. Dave is very happy with the contract and expect a better 2004:
"Started 2003 well after a great 2002. 2004 will be much better for my new team as for the former. Thanks to my current team, Jasper Motorsports, to Doug Bawel and D. K. Ulrich for the opportunity. I hope this team continues to grow in NASCAR and I'm exiting from the front door" - he said.
Richard Childress is also with great expectations for 2004.
"Blaney is a great driver and surprises this current season. I'm confident he will do a good job in 2004" - stated.
Asked about the Blaney's car, Childress evaded and did not answer the question.
Dave Blaney was born in Ohio and is since 2000 as a regular rider Winston Cup. In 2000 and 2001 raced by Bill Davis Racing; since 2002, he is in Jasper Motorsports.
