Billy Ballew Motorsports buying out CEM for 2008 Billy Ballew Motorsports, which runs the #15 Truck Series team for Bill Lester, announced today that the team will move to the Cup Series in 2008, buying the points and assets of Competitive Edge Motorsports at the conclusion of the 2007 season. The team will retain the #51 number currently used by CEM, adopting a different style. Lester will also remain with the team, attempting 9 races at a minimum, and more if sponsorship develops. At this time, the team has funding for 4 races from Watco Companies, a transportation company based out of Pittsburg, Kansas, and 5 races from Agilent Technologies, a biotechnology and electronics company that was formed from Hewlett-Packard in 1999. "We think we've got a solid foundation of Truck Series success to build upon when we get to the Cup Series," said Ballew. "I know Bill can get the job done and we've got two great partners already, so I really think we can jump right in and post solid performances next season."
