Produces its own engines, is constant and regular, get impressive results. That phrase could apply to Robert Yates Racing or Roush Racing, but can very well define the Jasper Motorsports.
The team of Doug Bawel and D. K. Ulrich, has had a performance that not even the two expected. "The results has been encouraging for our future," said Bawel.
"Dave Blaney has been a great driver for our team, and with the work of our staff, good fruit comes from planting to harvest very well at the end of the year", Ulrich said with great animation.
The team wasn't the best ever. Started poorly in 1996 with Bobby Hillin Jr, Robert Pressley came to improve the team the following year, made the best season the team until the arrival of the current pilot.
But what can we talk about Dave Blaney? Made his rookie season in 2000 by Bill Davis Racing, came to Jasper last year, and along with him, the best performance coming did in team history: 19th in the drivers' championship.
"I believe that the current championship position is the result of the effort of both Bawel, as Ulrich, preparers, pit crew and also the pilot himself", Blaney said enthusiastically.
Already confirmed for the team of Richard Childress in 2004, Blaney said Jasper was important to get where he was called.
"There's no way forget to thank Bill Davis by chance, but Jasper was a major leap in my career since my start in sprint cars", he concluded.
The team managed six top 10 this season, including five with Blaney and one with the road course ringer Boris Said. There are expansion plans, as it was confirmed the participation of Jeff Fultz in the #55 Jasper at some races of 2003.
