Bobby Ricky's Post-Race Analysis:
I wasn't kidding when I said that we would likely have a sixth different winner when this was all over. Good job, Clint Bowyer. You held off a championship-caliber driver, scored your second win of the season, and punched your ticket to the Chase all in one afternoon! Great performance all-around! And congrats to Martin Truex Jr. on on another top-5 finish! Dale Earnhardt Inc. may be in decline at this moment, but this kid is doing a great job carrying the team this season. Sure, he's not the best driver on the circuit right now, but with Truex's driving skill, Dale Jr.'s departure at the end of the year might not be as catastrophic for DEI as we expected.
But of course, we can't forget those three Chase spots that are still open! Coming into Richmond, those spots will be held by Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Greg Biffle. Three drivers that I'm surprised haven't punched their ticket to the Chase much earlier. The real question is...can they hold onto those spots and make the Chase at the last possible second? We'll find out soon enough.

Interesting race. Congrats to Clint Bowyer for his 2nd win of the season of the season. Meanwhile, Roger Penske has some choice words about the 77 car...
Roger Penske Statement: Good race by Newman. Strong, lead lap performance. Mears had a good run going. But, as they say, it's not always Miller Time. The thing that caught my eye was the lack of skill from Travis Kvapil. Sure; he made a comeback. Sure; he picked up a top 15. Sure; he gained ground in the points. The bottom line is I dont like him. Any one of my IndyCar drivers could beat him at his own game. Yes, I'm looking at you Helio Castroneves.
Travis Kvapil Statement: Fram is the best thing on the market. I can't even describe the amount of Fram I use every day. Fram is for winners. I love Fram so much I have a 10 foot bottle of Fram in my house.
Anyway, I am shocked at Roger's cruel words. My 77 team is working hard, putting up great finishes while all he does is complain. I'm sick of it. All I hear around the shop other than his whining is how many races Helio Castroneves has won. I respect Helio and his accomplishments, but I am going to beat someone with a thing of Fram next time I hear "Helio won Monaco" or "Helio won St. Petersburg" or "When was the last time you won?". Seriously, just let me finish the year in peace.

Well this race was bizarrely awesome for us. Caution after caution waved in the first quarter and it was pissing our guys off. Then Kurt got too close to the 09, spinning him out. There's a reason lapped cars are supposed to stay out of the way. Anyway. Good finishes all around, except for when Jeff was involved in that accident. Top 10s from the rest and Clint continues to be on fire, grabbing his 2nd win of the year. That means all 3 of our Chase-eligible drivers are in! We're excited and hope with the chances we have that one of our guys can claim the Nextel Cup!

Rick Hendrick - "Can we get a race without cautions every 10 laps?"
