2008 Season Outlook
After earning a surprise victory and posting 5 top 10s in 23 races in 2006, many expected Robby Gordon to take the next step with his single car organization and become a weekly top 25 driver. That did not happen at all. Gordon DNQ'ed at 10 races and didn't post a single top 10 finish as he floundered without the support of a major sponsor. That changes in 2008, as a new partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing lands the support of Coors Light for the full season. Gordon will also have a new crew chief in Kirk Almquist and should post better results. Coors Light will demand it, so expect Gordon to re-focus this offseason and aggressively pursue success in 2008.
