2008 Season Outlook
Jon Wood will look to continue to improve in his sophomore season, but will have to do it with a new crew chief. David Hyder comes on to replace Fatback McSwain, and looks to help Wood improve upon his Rookie of the Year season. Despite having just 2 top 5 finishes, Wood did show remarkable consistency and was caught in fewer wrecks than would be expected of a rookie. And, Wood did improve a lot over the course of the season and by year's end was a consistent top 20 car. Having finally landed on his feet and gotten accustomed to the Cup Series, Wood should be able to build upon that limited success and become a top 20 driver in 2008.
