2008 Season Outlook
Richard Childress brings his #2 Chevy Impala back to full-time status in 2008 after running in just 22 of 35 races in 2007. Bowyer ran 21 of the races while Kenny Wallace drove in the other one. Bowyer will return for 17 races after piling on 19 top 10s last season in a part-time schedule. Wallace will not return, as he is replaced by two development drivers and road course ace Ron Fellows. Fellows will absolutely put RCR in a position to win every time he runs, with 3 wins in just 12 starts in NNS. The two development drivers are Tim McCreadie and Brian Scott. McCreadie drove 6 races in the #21 for RCR last season and will expand his schedule to 10 races as he moves begins to expand beyond short tracks. Scott is just 20 years old and has never competed in a NNS race before, but did have 7 Truck Series starts last season and is rumored to have loads of potential, in addition to bringing his family's company Shore Lodge into the RCR fold. The RCR equipment is very strong, and Bowyer and Fellows should absolutely be contenders to win every time they race. McCreadie and Scott are still inexperienced though, so it should be a bit of a learning experience for those two in 2008.
