2008 Season Outlook
Roush Racing's #6 team returns again for full-time duty in the Nationwide Series in 2008, though it will not be commanded by just one driver, as it was in 2007. Last year, rookie David Ragan, a second-generation racer out of Georgia, demonstrated his immense talent by taking the #6 to a 5th-place points finish. His talent was so evident that Jack Roush moved him into the Cup Series to pilot the #97 Ford and compete for Rookie of the Year in 2008. Ragan, though, will still drive the bulk of the races in the #6. He'll pilot 27 races, while inexperienced drivers J.R. Fitzpatrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. tackle the remaining 9. Fitzpatrick, who actually drove at the road course races in the Cup Series for Roush in '07, will drive 3 races - 2 oval tracks and Montreal, while Stenhouse Jr. will run in 6 races while competing full-time in the ARCA Racing Series for Roush. Though inexperienced, this trio should, with the help of veteran crew chief Mike Kelley, perform solidly and please the Cat in the Hat.
