2008 Season Outlook
Todd Braun and Chris Edwards' Nationwide Series team returns again with 3 cars in the stable, two of them full-time. The #10 will feature a quartet of drivers with varying experience levels as the team continues to build its reputation within the sport. The primary driver will be Hendrick Motorsports Cup driver Brian Vickers, who dabbled with BER for 7 races in 2007, with Rick Hendrick's blessing. Vickers will drive the #10 Toyota for 18 races this season, and is joined by John Andretti, Justin Marks, and Michael Annett. Despite 14 years of Cup experience, Andretti has competed in just 3 different Nationwide seasons, and two of those, including last season, he ran just 1 race. Of his 37 career races, 35 came in 2006 when he competed full-time for the first time, finishing 12th in the standings. He'll run for 8 races this year, primarily serving as a mentor-coach for the two development drivers, Marks and Annett. Marks has a strong road course background, having finished 3rd in the 2004 Grand-Am Series, but also is developing a strong stock car resume, coming off a 5th place finish in the ARCA Racing Series last year. He'll run for 7 races, with Annett running for 3 races. Annett is also signed to Bill Davis Racing and won't be with BER past this year, but in 4 ARCA races last season, he averaged a 4.5 finish and even won at Talladega. He has loads of potential, as does Marks, and with past series champion Vickers and NASCAR vet Andretti in the fold, the #10 team should perform well in 2008.
