2008 Season Outlook
The other end of the Hendrick-Roush trade sees Kyle Busch leave his cushy home in the #5 team to a much less-cushy dwelling in with the #99 team. In years past, it would be a highly-coveted ride, but Roush Racing struggled a surprising amount in 2007. Still, Busch is certainly happy to be there, especially since Hendrick Motorsports seemed ready to kick him out despite an incredible 5th place season capped by 3 wins and 19 top 10s. That success should definitely bring Roush even more success than Carl Edwards had, as Busch's fiery temper will drive to succeed just as he always has. After a one year break from the Busch brothers, Jack Roush is bound to have his hands full again this season, but it's hard to project that he won't be satisfied with the on-track product this season with Rowdy Busch joining the fray.
