2008 Season Outlook
In the 2008 NNS season, 4 different drivers will take over driving duties for the #29 RCR Chevy. Leading the way is new RCR Cup driver, Jason Leffler, who struggled last season with a lackluster #19 Evernham car, but finished 3rd in the points in NNS. He'll run 16 races along with Austin Dillon, the grandson of Richard Childress. Obviously, having a NASCAR team owner for a grandpa is a pretty neat deal, but Dillon has a tremendous amount of talent and will be looking to unleash it in 2008. Finishing out the lineup are two drivers who also will drive the #21 Chevy for RCR at different times. German Quiroga Jr., who has a Cup pole and top 10 on his resume, which he can thank Kurt Busch for, will run at Mexico and Montreal for the #29 team, while Scott will run at Richmond and New Hampshire. Of the 4 drivers, Leffler has 153 races on his resume, while the other 3 combine to just a grand total of 1. This team, though equipped with top-notch stuff from RCR, will likely experience some growing pains with such large amounts of inexperience.
