2008 Season Outlook
The single-car ML Motorsports team owned by Mary Louise Miller returns again to the Nationwide Series in 2008 with three drivers splitting driving duties. Two of the three are returning from last season - Justin Diercks and Mark Green. Green's family has been involved in racing for as long as anyone can remember, and though he has had little success behind the wheel, he knows how to keep a car clean with 231 races of experience. He'll serve as the mentor once again for Diercks. Green will drive for 19 races while Diercks ups his schedule from 7 to 13 races. The Iowa native Diercks has a promising NASCAR future ahead of him, thanks to consecutive NASCAR Midwest Series titles back in 2004 and 2005. Green will be an excellent mentor for him as he looks to continue to push his career forward. Rounding out the lineup is a new driver, the Swede Niclas Jonsson. Jonsson will drive the 4 road course races as he comes from that style, and he's got one NNS start under his belt, a 12th place finish with Jay Robinson Racing last year at Montreal. Overall, this team has nice mix of experience and youth, and should continue to build upon a decent but unspectacular 2007 campaign.
