2008 Season Outlook
JR Motorsports will run its second car for 16 races in 2008, giving full-timer Brad Keselowski another team to bounce data and ideas off of. The #83 Chevy will be driven by a combination of 3 drivers, but Aric Almirola will be the most frequent behind the wheel. He'll get to run 12 of the 16 scheduled races, hoping to relaunch his career with a top NNS team after struggling in his rookie Cup season in 2007 with Bill Davis Racing. The other 4 races will be split by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kerry Earnhardt. Little E will take the season opener at Daytona and the August event at Bristol while Kerry will take the July Daytona race and the Talladega event. Both are skilled plate racers, and Jr. will obviously be a threat to win at Bristol, one of his favorite tracks. Overall, with funding from Pennzoil, the #83 looks to be in solid shape with the promising Almirola and family names behind the wheel the remainder of the time. 2008 should be a competitive season for the 83 bunch.
