2008 Season Outlook
The part-time Bill Davis Racing outfit in 2008 will be able to boast of having an entire fleet of Cup cars in disposal. The former Cup Series Toyota Camrys thought to have been made obsolete with the new Car of Tomorrow will head directly towards the two NNS teams for Davis. The #23 will run full time with 2 veterans sharing, while the #93 will feature 4 drivers and a limited part-time schedule dictated by amount of available sponsorship funds. Mike Skinner, one of the 2 #23 drivers, will drive in just the season opener for the #93, allowing the door to open for 3 others: Bryan Silas, Steve Park, and Michael Annett. Now, Park hasn't been around in NNS much since he got injured multiple times, but 11 years ago he finished 3rd in standings so he's clearly got talent. Neither Silas nor Annett, though, have any career NNS starts, so the experience levels on the #93 vary greatly. With funding for the 10 races, the team is financially in good shape and will be able to focus on on-track success. Luckily, BDR was the best Toyota team in Cup last season, so they'll get the best of the best from Toyota Racing Development headquarters and should be a consistent top 15-top 20 team.
