As the entry list for Talladega begins to fill up, there will be two teams that won't be filling out any for the seeable future.
Max Q Motorsports
Max Q Motorsports started the year trying to make the Daytona 500 and in a surprsing fashion Mike Wallace would win in the first Gatorade Duel 150 and lock himself into the Daytona 500 and go on to score a 26th place finish. In the next event, rookie Timmy Hill raced his first ever event in the Cup Series and drove to an impressive 11th place finish and it would turn out to be the only race Hill would make.
The following weeks at Las Vegas, Bristol and Auto Club, Hill would fail to qualify each time before Max Q Motorsports would stop filling out the entry form and hasn't been heard from until now, offically announcing that they were closing their doors but have decided to keep a hold of their cars and have said they may return to attempt to race at Sonoma or Watkins Glen while Timmy Hill goes back to racing in the Nationwide Series.
Inception Motorsports
Much like with Max Q Motorsports, the year started off well for Inception Motorsports as David Stremme would finish 6th in his Gatorade Duel 150 race before going on to finish 12th in the Daytona 500. However wrecks at Phoenix, Las Vegas and Bristol would knock them out of the Top 36 in Owner Points, Stremme would fight back and finish 28th at Auto Club and 11th at Martinsville but it turned out to be not enough.
Stremme would miss the Texas event and would blow a motor one week later at Kansas, while at the first ever event in Australia in nearly 20 years, Stremme would fail to qualify again as well as the Richmond race last week. As the week started Stremme was informed that he had been released from his ride and the doors of the shop was closed with owner Timothy McSweeney saying the lack of on track performance and lack of sponorships, he was forced to shut down his race team.
