As the 2nd season of the Fantasy series is approaching, a lot of drivers will be in different places and many different sponsors have now joined. In addition, two new fantasy series will be added: the Busch Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. Without further ado, here are the first paint schemes released for the 2004 Nextel Cup Fantasy Season: The first team that released paint schemes was Spinner Racing: #68 Jack Salerno- Chinko Racing Wheels Chevrolet #168 Maurice Haynes (R)- Apex Racing School Chevrolet Previous sponsor Spinner Rotors left the team after one season. Despite losing a sponsor, several other sponsors joined the team during off-season and team owner Craig Sykes decided to field 2 full-time entries for the 2004 season. Jack Salerno, who finished 9th in the points and earned one win last year in the #168, will move over to the 2nd team car, the #68, with sponsorship coming from Chinko Racing Wheels. Replacing Jack Salerno in the #168 will be Maurice Haynes, a 19 year old from Beltsville, Maryland. Haynes will compete for Rookie of the Year honors and primary sponsorship will be provided by Apex Racing School. People can expect this team to be a mid-pack team, however, don't underestimate them competing for top 5 finishes and potentially a win (i.e. Jack Salerno at the fall Atlanta race).

Clip'Em Racing has released their paint schemes for the 2004 Nextel Cup Fantasy Season. #72 Todd Reils: #127 Steve Myers: Clip'Em Racing returns for their 2nd season after a 5th place finish in the championship standings with primary driver Steve Myers. In addition, Clip'Em Racing is going to field a 2nd entry for Todd Reils, who left Milton's Racing and brought sponsor Milton Mustard to the team. With the new lineup, Clip'Em Racing has drivers who won 3 races in total last year and should be a weekly top 5 to top 10 contender at short tracks and road courses (and possibly the speedways) on the reconfigured 2004 schedule.
