Bill Davis Racing buys Keith Coleman Racing assets Bill Davis told reporters this afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway that he has purchased the assets of Keith Coleman Racing and will run a car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series next year. "I worked out a deal with Keith real quick when I heard he was dropping out of the picture," said Davis, owner of the two-car Toyota team Bill Davis Racing. "Starting a Busch team is something we've been looking to do for a while and this provides the perfect opportunity especially with the Truck Series fading away." Davis declined to name a driver or sponsor for his team yet, stating that he wasn't even sure how much he planned to run the car this season. He did mention that he might stick with Coleman's inventory of Chevy Impalas just for this season, and when the Nextel Cup Series moves to the Car of Tomorrow in 2008, he will convert his current Cup cars to Nationwide cars. Keith Coleman Racing did not return an e-mail. (MikeMulhern.net) (4/14/07)
