 Well, the time has come for the Budweiser Duels at Daytona! In 20 laps, 43 drivers will try to make the Daytona 500, but 38 are already locked in. Of the 48 total trying to make the race, the following 10 will battle for 5 spots: #6, Travis Pastrana (Ford EcoBoost)#7, Michael Annett (Pilot)#23, Alex Bowman (Dr Pepper)#26, Cole Whitt (Speed Stick)#30, Parker Klingerman (SMS Audio)#35, Blake Koch (MDS)#40, Landon Cassill (CarsForSale.com)#44, JJ Yeley (Phoenix Warehouse)
#77, Dave Blaney (TBD)#98, Josh Wise (Phil Parsons Racing)Drivers highlighted in blue are in Duel 1, and orange is Duel 2. In other news, Joe Gibbs Racing has signed 2 sponsors, which will be run in the Duels and the Daytona 500. Apple/iPhone will sponsor Denny Hamlin for this week and 6 more races this season, and GameStop/Xbox will sponsor Matt Kenseth for this week and for 8 more races this season. |

Duel 1 qualifying is over, and Carl Edwards wins the pole! Here's the results from the session. It's simple for the GOGH drivers: Top 2 of the 5 in this race will make the show, and the same goes for the other 5 in Duel 2. The 43'rd spot will come down to the 6 drivers who didn't make it, as the highest qualifier for the 500 will make it. Race will take place at 3.45 PM EST. (NOTE- Yellow indicates rookie, Blue GOGH)

So not a great run for Cassill or Pastrana, but Josh Wise impressed, beating drivers such as Michael Waltrip and David Gilliland. Who's your pick to win Budweiser Duel 1? I'm going with Edwards, but would not be surprised if an underdog such as Larson or Stenhouse got the win!

Budweiser Duel 1 is about to begin! Carl Edwards and Austin Dillon will start on row 1! Edwards is trying to win his first Duel, while Austin Dillon is trying to defeat Kyle Larson in the ROTY race! As they roll off of turn 4 to come to the green, we turn to our veteran analyst, Jimmy Alagna, who will be in the booth along with Caleb Richardson.  Jimmy- My pick for this duel is Jamie Mac in the 1! He had a great qualifying run, and he's always a threat at these superspeedway races! Caleb- I'm going with Carl Edwards. He got the pole, was top-5 in testing, and has a great Roush Fenway Ford for tonight's race. Well, the green flag will fly for 20 laps at the famed Daytona International Speedway! |

Green flag is in the air! Edwards gets a good start, and will take the lead.  But Kenseth gets a big push from McMurray and will lead lap 1/20!  |

Update here on lap 4/20, and we have our first yellow flag! Kasey Kahne gets clipped by David Ragan and Clint Bowyer, resulting in this spin! No cars left the race, but the 15, 5, 98 (GOGH Driver), and 95 all sustained some damage.   Everyone came down pit road to top off on fuel, and Kenseth beat everyone out! Ryan Truex was the big loser, as he got into a collision with Danica Patrick. Truex heads to the garage, ending a promising run, and will go to a backup for the 500. |

Here's the halfway update! Lap 11/20, and the man who started P1 is now back to P1- Carl Edwards the leader. The GOGH drivers are in a fantastic battle, and as of now, Travis Pastrana (6) and Alex Bowman (23) would be in, but Landon Cassill and Michael Annett are right there!  |

White Flag in the air, Cousin Carl leads! As of now, Pastrana and Bowman have the transfer spots, but Annett and Cassill are all over them!  |

CARL EDWARDS WILL WIN BUDWEISER DUEL 1! He holds off Matt Kenseth by 0.08, and leads 11 of the 20 laps.  And now.... your 2 drivers who race their way in.... are Travis Pastrana and Alex Bowman! Now Landon Cassill, Michael Annett, and Josh Wise must qualify their way in later this week.  Official Finishing order will be posted shortly. |
