Race #6 - National 250
It was a clear night in St. Eustache, Quebec, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 6 at the Autodrome St. Eustache for the National 250.
J.R. Fitzpatrick led the field to the Green Flag but it would be points leader Louis-Philippe Dumoulin who would lead the first lap. With a racing surface that drivers had complained about since arriving, drivers took the race slow and kept to themselves during the event as only one caution would fly during the whole event. Andrew Ranger, who already had won a race before this event, took advantage of his experience and would drive into the lead within the first hundred laps and began to pull away from the field as drivers had one shot at a pit stop to try and catch Ranger.
Scott Steckly came into this event looking to win back-to-back events at the track as his team hit the right setup and began to close on Ranger as the laps counted down and with one lap to go both him and Ranger were side by side and gave fans a thrilling finish as both drivers crossed the line in nearly a tie with the photo finish showing Ranger had scored the win and scored the closest finish in the history of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.
