So in my season I just ran at Atlanta, I am unsure on what to change to remedy this issue. Basically at atlanta they were running laps close to my own fastest lap. But during the race, within 10 laps they were falling about 2 seconds off their fastest lap, (if i recall 33 second-34 second laps) Where on my end I was only dropping maybe 1/2 a second after that amount of time. I know there are a few factors like tire wear but that affects both me and the AI.
Any ideas on what I should be changing to keep the AI faster on short to long runs?

Sorry I have no clue about how the AI works. I know a person named fortune_oo has written many guides on fine tuning ,tweaking, and editing AI to make them run how you want to. You just have to look and find them

I think i figured it out, you need to edit the track.ini and look for this line:
strategy_lap_time_wear_loss = 3.816
Basically it means if the AI has completely worn tires they will be 3.8 seconds slower then their fastest lap or around that. So you can tweak around with that number to try to figure out your own lap time fall off. If the AI has for example 80% worn tires I assume they will calculate out 20% of 3.8 seconds and that would be how much slower they would be going.
