Well a lot of ups and downs in this race, this was the first race ( I believe) that I won the pole, usually I am not that great at qualifying. Also I ran this race twice, I was 12 laps to go and I hit restart race button instead of view replay... I was at first when I did that. Either way the second run was more interesting anyway, my biggest issue here was lap down traffic... Once I caught them I could not hold off the leaders... And once I lost 1st position it was really hard getting back around them. Once the first yellow came out I pretty much stayed around the top 5. At one point Mike Wallace was leading the race because of the time when the caution came out he was the last one not to pit so I thought maybe he would of won. But when another caution came out he went to pit. My restarts were the worst, when Wallace went to pit I had the lead again but only briefly as I was getting passed on restarts. A great run by Elliott Sadler, he performed really well today compared to his normal performances he was on my bumper most of the race. In other news it was a tough break for Ricky Rudd who has been fighting the for the #1 spot in the standings, he had engine problems at the end of the race and hard to take the car to the garage. It looks like Thomson will increase his lead over 2nd in points after Dale Jarrett, Rudd, and Gordon all had poor finishes at Bristol.
