McGlynn partners with Bobby Hamilton Racing Fresh off a career-best 2nd place finish and a near upset victory, McGlynn Racing team owner Raynard McGlynn proudly announced this morning that his team will enter into a partnership with Craftsman Truck Series team Bobby Hamilton Racing in 2008, expanding to 2 teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Current BHR owner Lois Vance will assume control of 50% of the team with McGlynn retaining the other 50% of the renamed McGlynn-Vance Racing Ventures. The #74 will remain with the team and serve as the primary full-time team, with Truck Series team Circle Bar Racing's David Starr running for Rookie of the Year. Fastenal will sponsor all 36 races plus non-points events, moving with Vance from the Truck Series. In addition, the classic #4 will return albeit on a Cup Series Dodge Charger, as Mike Bliss will run the #4 SanDisk Dodge for 18 races. "This week has been an incredible experience", said McGlynn. "This deal has been in the works for a number of weeks now, and being able to announce it the day after our best performance in our history that garnered a lot of attention is huge for all of crew guys.
