The field has finished qualifying for the 4th race of the season the Azalea 150 at the Martinsville Speedway.
Reggie Ruggiero won the pole, with a time of 24.933 seconds, beating Mike McLaughlin by 0.036 seconds.
Other Noticeables: Reggie Ruggiero won his 1st pole of the year, Ruggiero won his 1st career pole in the NASCAR Winston Modified Tour Series in his 3rd start, Richie Evans, who will be starting 11th, has a 41 point lead over Jerry Cranmer

Race #4 - Azalea 150
The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour Series made their 4th stop of 1985 at the Martinsville Speedway, in Martinsville, Virginia, for the Azalea 150.
Reggie Ruggiero led the field to the green as the series raced their second event at the legendary Martinsville Speedway of the season and just like before, it was filled with cautions. The race set a new record for the most cautions in a race with eight as forty of the events 150 laps was run under caution. Mike McLaughlin was involved in the first caution as well as spinning out two other drivers before making his way into the lead with sixty five laps to go. Three more cautions would bunch up the field, but McLaughlin was able to hold off Bugs Stevens and scored his first win of the season.
Other Noticeables: Mike McLaughlin scored his 1st win of the year, McLaughlin led 1 time for 65 laps, which were the final 65 laps, It was the 1st win of his career in the NASCAR Winston Modified Tour Series in his 4th start, Gary Myers(3rd), Billy Middleton(11th), Bobby Hutchens(13th), Bill Kimmel Jr.(21st), Mike Ewanitsko(27th) and Philip Smith(28th) made their NASCAR Winston Modified Tour Series debuts, Richie Evans, who finished 6th, kept his points lead, leading Mike McLaughlin by 23 points

Richie Evans won the pole, with a time of 16.939 seconds, beating Jimmy Spencer by 0.059 seconds.

Race #5 - Spring Fling
The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour Series made their 5th stop of 1985 at the New Egypt Speedway, in New Egypt, New Jersey, for the Spring Fling.
Richie Evans led a field of twenty four drivers to the green as for the second time in a month Evans was totally unstoppable as a calm race with no cautions allowed Evans to use his past experience on short tracks as he was able to defend the lead and work his way through traffic to score his second wire-to-wire race by winning the pole, leading every single lap and scoring his second win of the season.
