Also, I will use the top 35 rule for the Winston Cup. The Busch Series will cover the top 30, while the trucks will cover top 25.

Busch Clash @ Daytona:On a nice, sunny day, the engines of 20 800+ hp cars roared to life. It was time to start the 2002 Busch Clash. The field consisted of the 17 pole winners plus three previous winners of the event. The lineup was decided randomly, with Ricky Rudd able to start on the pole position. But since this is a plate track, there is no advantage to it. The race consisted of 24 laps as well as one pit stop. The race started with everyone jostling for position, trying to take turns leading the race. The race saw almost half the field lead at least one lap. After pit stops, the top 6 were separated from the rest of the field: Earnhardt, Labonte, Kenseth, Gordon, Martin, and Nemechek. The lead was held by Gordon until he was passed by Earnhardt, and the Intimidator stole the victory from Terry Labonte by 0.03 s. Here are the rest of the results: Race Facts:Caution Flags: 0 (0 laps) Lead Changes: 12 (9 drivers) Weather: Clear, 49 °F, East 11 mph Pitstop Frequency: 3x AI Strength: 100%

Single-Car Qualifying for the Daytona 500Single-car qualifying began for the Daytona 500, with 58 cars racing for 42 spots. In reality, the top 35 from the previous year were locked in, so that left 23 cars racing for only 7 spots. To everyone's surprise, GREG BIFFLE, in his Cup debut, scores the pole for the 44th running of the Great American Race. He becomes the first rookie to grab the pole of the Daytona 500 since Mike Skinner in 1997. This achievement also helped guarantee Biffle a spot in the 500, leaving one less spot for the other 22 competitors. Kurt Busch qualified in the outside of the front row, missing the pole by almost two-tenths. The rest of the top 5 included Mike Skinner, Jeremy Mayfield, and Terry Labonte. Two notable qualifiers will make their last attempt at the 500: Kyle Petty would step down from the #44 ride to help develop his son Adam, and Dave Marcis will try to race his way into the 500 for what would be his 34th start at the Great American Race. Here is the rest of the qualifying results: The ones in light yellow are open cars, and will have to race their way into the 500.

Ok, so I will make a YouTube series about The Millennium Shift. But there's a problem: It's highly likely that I won't do a highlight video for each and every race run. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for what to put in videos.

Maybe do it like One More Spark, where you post videos that show one race in full, while all other races covered are just highlights.
Or if you don't have time for that, just do highlight reels for all races.

Or if you don't have time for that, just do highlight reels for all races. Hmmm.. I'll consider that. It would be difficult since I'm doing 4 series, so I'll probably show very brief highlights from the lower leagues.

2002 Daytona DuelsThe Daytona Duels sees 58 cars for 42 positions. The first duel consists of the likes of Jimmie Johnson, Ken Schrader, Elliott Sadler, and Jason Leffler fighting for only three spots. The go-or-go homers led only 3 of the 10 laps, but the race saw potentially the biggest upset in Speedweek history. We saw a driver from Iowa fight to the front, seeing him take over the lead with 2 to go. Or should I say she? That's right folks, Shawna Robinson, the only female on the entry list, and the #49 unsponsored BAM Racing Team, challenged their way to the front and was able to hold off the field and win the first duel. This marks the first time a woman had won a race in NASCAR's national series. The second transfer spot went to Jeff Green, driving for the #26 Haas/Carter Racing Team. The final spot was won by Ron Hornaday of Jasper Racing, passing Elliott Sadler on the last turn. The results will be seen below. The DNQ's of the race are, shockingly: Elliott Sadler Ken Schrader Kirk Shelmerdine Norm Benning Hermie Sadler Jimmie Johnson (R) Bobby Gerhart Jason Leffler (R) Full Results: 2002 Duel 1.html (22.44 KB) The second duel saw rookies Kevin Harvick and Ryan Newman, as well as veterans Geoff Bodine and Dave Marcis (who will make his final attempt in a Winston Cup race) clash to obtain the last 3 spots in the 500. What also had to be noted is that Kyle Petty will potentially be making his last start in the 500, as he plans to coach his son Adam. The duel was just like the first: hard racing for all positions and many lead changes. The go-or-go homer camp also led 3 laps of 10. The race was won in a photo finish by Bill Elliott over Jerry Nadeau, but this wasn't the only celebration. Now full-time trucker Mike Bliss for Melling Racing, Johnny Benson for MB2, and the rookie Kevin Harvick finished better than the rest of the GOGHs to qualify for the 500. The DNQ's for the race are, also shockingly: Geoffery Bodine (sorry Oreius, but hey: Phoenix Racing still made the Busch race) Dwayne Leik Kenny Wallace Todd Bodine Brett Bodine (completing the Bodine hattrick of DNQs) Carl Long Dave Marcis Ryan Newman (R) (Mainly because his car had no owner points from 2001, just like Leffler and Johnson) and now, the Daytona 500 field is set!
