Richard Childress Racing
#29 Kevin Harvick/GM Goodwrench(FT)
#30 Jeff Green/America Online(FT)
#31 Robby Gordon/Cingular Wireless(FT)
Team Overview
RCR did not have a good 2002, with all of its drivers outside the top 15 in points, and Kevin Harvick struggling especially. Jeff green has a new CC in Mike Beam, but aside from that, RCR is purely looking for consistency after a lackluster season.
Hendrick Motorsports
#5 Terry Labonte(FT)
#24 Jeff Gordon(FT)
#25 Joe Nemechek(FT)
#48 Jimmie Johnson(FT)
#60 David Green(PT)
Team Overview
Hendrick Motorsports had a solid year in 2002, With Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson having good seasons, while the #25 and 5 teams struggled for pace. Peter Sospenzo joine the #25 team, which has always been a step below the #24, #48, and #5 teams, but if they have good luck they might be able to snag a win or two. Terry Labonte is reaching the end of his career, but he hopes a good showing in 2003 will show he is not done yet. The #60 returns, with David green attempting all the plate races and Indy.

#17 Matt Kenseth/DeWalt Tools(FT)
#97 Kurt Busch/Rumbbermaid/Sharpie(FT)
#99 Jeff Burton/Citgo(FT)
Team Overview
Roush Racing came close to the 2002 championship with Mark Martin, and they hope to repeat said success this year. Matt Kenseth, Jeff Burton also had a good year, while Kurt Busch improved massively over his 2001 season. 2002 Busch champion Greg Biffle hopes to carry his success in the lower series, and is a ROTY favorite, expect him to potentially get in the winners circle.
Robert Yates Racing
#38 Elliott Sadler/MnM's(FT)
#88 Dale Jarrett/UPS(FT)
#98 Jason Jarret(PT)
Team Overview
Ricky Rudd makes the choice to leave Yates for Wood brothers, in a direct swap with Sadler. Elliott had a reasonable 2002, but with a top team, could he break out in 2003? Dale Jarrett had a meh year for the 1999 champs standards, but Yates engines make good horsepower, so a solid year is in store. Jason Jarrett will run the fall Talladega race, his talent is to be seen.
Penske Racing
#2 Rusty Wallace/Miller Lite(FT)
#12 Ryan Newman/Altell/Mobil 1(FT)
Team Overview
2002 was a solid year for Penske Racing, and we expect 2003 to be more of the same, Ryan Newman is a breakout star, and a championship might be in his sights.
Joe Gibbs Racing
#18 Bobby Labonte/Interstate Batteries(FT)
#20 Tony Stewart/Home Depot(FT)
#80 Mike Bliss/Advair(PT)
Team Overview
Tony Stewart is coming hot off the back of his first championship, but with a manufacture swap, can he repeat his success? Bobby Labonte had a down year, but the 2000 champ has that equipment to change that in 2003.
Evernham Motorsports
#9 Bill Elliott/Dodge Dealers(FT)
#19 Jeremy Mayfield/Dodge Dealers/Mountain Dew(FT)
#91 Casey Atwood-Hank Parker Jr-Max Papis/Mountain Dew/Dodge(PT)
Team Overview
Evernham Motorsports had a decent year in 2002, but there is always room for improvement, especially on Mayfield's part. Atwood and Parker will run a limited schedule, while Max Papis will run the road courses in a third car, may go full time in 2004 with Atwood or Parker?
Dale Earnhardt Inc
#1 Steve Park/Pennzoil(FT)
#8 Dale Earnhardt Jr/Budweiser(FT
#15 Micheal Waltrip/NAPA/Nilla Wafers(FT)
#80 Ron fellows/Raiders(PT)
#81 Jason Keller/Kraft(PT)
Team Overview
DEI had a respectable year, with Waltrip and Earnhardt doing well, while Steve Park struggled during his first year back from injuries. The #8 and #15 hope to continue form, while Park needs to turn things around if he is to keep his seat for 2004. Jason Keller will attempt a few races in a 4th part time entry, while Ron Fellows will run both Road Courses, and Indy in a 5th DEI entry.
Chip Ganassi Racing
#39 Scott Pruett/Target(PT)
#40 Sterling Marlin/Coors Light(FT)
#41 Casey Mears/Target/Fujifilm(FT)
#42 Jamie McMurray/Texaco/Havoline(FT)
Team Overview
Sterling Marlin came oh so close to the title in 2002, before a injury sidelined him, which combined with losing the Daytona 500, made it a very regrettable year for Marlin, can he finally break through in 2003? He is joined by two rookies, in Casey Mears and Jamie McMurray. With McMurray already having a win under his belt, he is a ROTY favorite, while Casey Mears, son of Rick Mears wants to prove he deserves the ride driven by Jimmy Spencer in 2002.
