DUEL 1 RECAP
So for some reason my screenshots were awful, but I have them figured out now and they should work for Duel 2. The race started with Tori Shin and Michael Mulkey leading the field to the green.
The first caution came out not even 10 laps in when Ethan Mallet and Jacob Turner got together. The 2 car crash ended Turner's day, but Mallet was able to continue and come home in 14th.
The second and final caution came at around lap 15 of the 50 lap race when the big one struck. Mac Williams turned Zavion Dodnerson into the outside wall which sent Dodnerson flipping. Many others including Kade Rue, Heinz Walter, and Luis Molina were involved. Dodnerson walked away with minor injuries and should be ready to race in the Daytona 500.
The second half was mostly uneventful with many drivers leading including Tristen Hill, Tayley Rue, and Daniel Rincon.
As the laps began to wind down lapped traffic became a factor causing problems for Tristen Hill and Max Bowes not being able to get around the traffic.
Tayley Rue who had arguably the best car in this race led the field to the white flag, however it was Jonothan Meyer that was first back to the stripe and will start 3rd in the Daytona 500.
RESULTS
1. Jonothan Meyer 2. Max Bowes 3. Tayley Rue 4. Mason Cothren 5. Tyler Valles 6. Michael Mulkey 7. Daniel Rincon 8. Jamie Gillihan 9. Tristen Hill 10. Ngun Cung 11. Landry Barker 12. Zavion Dodnerson -Retired 22. Jacob Turner -Retired
Red- Racing to get into Daytona 500
Max Bowes finishing 2nd should help him into the show, while Phoebe Johnson and Logan Streb must wait through Duel 2 to see if they make the show.
