Race #1 - Tufoil 250It was a cloudy night in St. Eustache, Quebec, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 1 of the 2009 season at the Autodrome St. Eustache for the Tufoil 250. D.J. Kennington led the field to the Green Flag and would lead the first five laps around the 0.400 mile short track before Scott Steckly took command early, the first of two cautions would come out on Lap 18 for Dave Whitlock's harmless spin in Turn 3. Whitlock would make a pit stop for fuel and tires and in just 14 laps, Whitlock had worked his way up into the race lead. Once there, Whitlock was the most dominate car, leading 181 of the event's 250 laps. Race #3 - Dickies 200It was a clear day in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 3 of the 2009 season at the Mosport International Raceway for the Dickies 200. Race #4 - Tide 250It was a clear night in St. Eustache, Quebec, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 4 of the 2009 season at the Autodrome St. Eustache for the Tide 250. John Gaunt led the field to the Green Flag and would quickly begin to build up an impressive lead around the short track in front of a pack crowd to see their favorite drivers battle as surprisingly, the race would be a calm event with only one caution coming out. Gaunt would lead for the first one hundred ten laps before he was passed by Scott Steckly, as Steckly would lead for twenty laps before losing the lead back to Gaunt, before taking it back on Lap 147. Steckly would lose the lead briefly during pit stops to Kerry Micks, before Steckly would take the lead back on Lap 166. Steckly would once again continue the dominate the race once back in the lead, with Gaunt only a second behind him, doing everything he could to try and get back around Steckly, but never able having a big enough run and would remain behind Steckly. When the lone caution came out with ten laps to go it would set up a seven lao shootout, with Steckly getting a great jump and would pull away and would go on to win by half a second, the second win for Steckly in 2009.
