Carl Long forming his own team On an interview on Sirius Satellite Radio XM, former NASCAR journeyman Carl Long, most famous for his wild tumble at Rockingham Speedway in 2004, told Dave Moody that he is forming his own team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for 2008. The team will attempt to run the full schedule in the #46 Dodge Charger, and fans will see a variety of drivers in the car during the course of the season. "I haven't finalized a lot of things right now", said the 39-year old driver. "All I can say is that we're gonna attempt to run a full season but we need sponsorship to happen. I'll do some of the driving, and I've got Bobby Gerhart on for the restrictor-plate races, but beyond that we don't have anything set up just yet". Reports indicate that Long could possibly align his team with Brian Keselowski's K Automotive, but an e-mail request was not returned. (MikeMulhern.net) (5/8/07)
