A long stretch of green flag racing would finally take place. With that, green flag pit stops started happening and changed the cycle of the race. Towards the end of the race Steve Portenga would leave pit road as the leader on lap 53 a few seconds ahead of #72 Randy MacDonald and Ron Hornaday Jr. The two would end up bump drafting around the track and successfully catching the #39 of Portenga. Ricky Sanders in the #19 truck would catch up to the three and it would be MacDonald who would score the victory!
