2008 Clash at Daytona
News: To limit the field size, previous 500 winners were not included in this years clash. Therefore, Steve Perry and Stephanie Dillon - two prior 500 winners, will not be racing here today. There is stuff for them to do, as Perry is running the IMSA race at Laguna Seca while Dillon is running the show car and helping with pre-race analysis.
Favorites: Peter Hale draws pole for the clash and will roll off 1st. However, Dodge has looked fast here, with Carson Atkins in the new #79 for TriStar-Evernham setting the fastest time in Free Practice 1. Chris Burton in the #78 Dodge for Furniture Row led Happy Hour. Alice Peters was fastest in single lap runs, with Dale Stremme Jr. second quickest. The Front Row cars of Ross Evertson and Erin Keller worked together well in practice. As did the two Chad Little Inc. cars of Chad Little Jr. and Anna Kelley.
