Race Notes:
Prerace: Issues during qualifying for Hamilton and Ricciardo see both Force India in the top 5. Hamiltons teammate Bottas starts 8th after his 5 place grid penalty drops him from 3rd. 78 laps, longest race of the season. Similar to China there might be weirdness but we'll see.
Lap 1: Vettel gets a good start, as does Leclerc against Alonso as Leclerc jumps into 9th. Bottas does his first pass through the tunnel against Magnussen for 7th. Hamilton up two positions as well at the end of lap 1.
Lap 3: Vettel has set the fastest lap over Raikkonen.
Lap 4: Ricciardo hasn't made any ground and Hamilton is down in 12th following Sirotking, everyone is now just managing their rhythm.
Lap 5: Vettel up 2 seconds on Verstappen with Raikkonen 3 seconds back. Hamilton gets around Sirotkin for 11th.
Lap 7: Vettel sets a fastest lap in the 1:28 range (Hamilton has the second fastest lap which is 1:29.025)
Lap 13: Vettel has opened up a 4 second lead over Verstappen with Raikkonen still following behind.
Lap 19: Vettel now with a 6 second lead, and is 24 seconds over Perez in 4th.
Lap 30: Vettel has caught up to the tail of lap traffic with a 9 second plus lead.
Lap 32: Vettel stuck behind traffic now, Verstappen trying to catch up.
Lap 33: Verstappen has cut Vettels lead down by half to 4.84 seconds.
Lap 34: Ricciardo pits from 16th, Ericsson pits aswell. Verstappen and Raikkonen have caught Vettel and the lap traffic.
Lap 36: Whoever pits first of the leaders will have the advantage of cleanest track. Alonso and Sainz pits, Hulkenberg smashes the barrier. Sirotkin also pits as well.
Lap 37: Vettel comes into the pits with Verstappen and Raikkonen. Perez, Ocon, Bottas, Magnussen, and Hamilton all pit as well.
Lap 38: Vettel and Verstappen come out ahead of Stroll who is in front of Raikkonen.
Lap 39: Order after pit stops: Vettel, Verstappen, Raikkonen, Perez, Ocon, Leclerc, Bottas, Sainz, Alonso, Magnussen, Hamilton, RIcciardo, Sirotkin are all on the lead lap. Grosjean retires from the race.
Lap 40: Bottas chases down Ocon for 5th after jumping Sainz during pit stops.
Lap 43: 13th place Sirotkin starting to hold up Vettel.
Lap 56: Perez pits from 4th, comes out ahead of 7th. Alonso and Magnussen pit as well.
Lap 57: Raikkonen pits from 3rd, Bottas pits from 6th, Leclerc pits from 8th, Ricciardo from 10th.
Lap 58: Verstappen brushes the wall a little bit. Safety car comes Ericsson and Vandoorne collide going out of the pits and spin.
Lap 59: Hamilton is 1 lap down, meanwhile Sirotkin is in sight of a points finish.
Lap 60: Vettel pits from the lead, Verstappen and Ocon pit as well but Ocon comes out in front of Vettel. Raikkonen will take the lead when we go back racing. Race control adding two laps to allow lapped cars to go around and catch up. This includes Alonso, Ricciardo, Hamilton, Leclerc, and Magnussen.
Lap 62: Ocon somehow leads a lap under yellow even though Raikkonen didn't pit?
Lap 63: Order on restart: Raikkonen, Vettel, Verstappen, Perez, Bottas, Sainz, Sirotkin, Alonso, Magnussen, Ocon, Hamilton, Leclerc, Ricciardo all on the lead lap. Sergey moves up into 6th position.
Lap 68: Raikkonen opens up a 15 second lead over Vettel.
Lap 75: Raikkonen has a 33 second lead over Vettel and Verstappen.
Lap 77: Verstappen has to come in for a flat tire, Raikkonen blows a tire and has to go around super slow, and Vettel takes the lead coming into the final lap.
