Today, Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates confirmed that it will use another car as "part-time" for a few races of the 2003 season.
Dorsey Schroeder, who has raced for the team in 2001, will do races at Sears Point and Watkins Glen, but do not stop there. Scott Dixon will join five other races for the team (Indianapolis, Richmond, Kansas, Phoenix and Homestead).
The number to be used will be #04, which for now is without sponsorship.
The team owner, Chip Ganassi, is confident: "Dorsey Schroeder is a great driver and will not do ugly on road courses. As for Dixon, we know his potential and NASCAR may be training him. Although a stock car is very different from an open-wheel, Dixon said he will give his all to overcome this problem."
