Bill Davis Racing to hold sponsor fair
Bill Davis Racing has announced today a plan to bring in more sponsorship for teams. The idea? A spinoff of a job fair, a "sponsor fair." All teams planning to compete in Nascar that need sponsorship are welcomed to bring a car painted up without sponsors to show off to potential sponsors. "I think this will be a big success, not just to us, but to the little teams that hardly have enough to show up to the track with," Davis said. "It's real simple. We're renting a big showroom in downtown Mooresville. Any team just needs to contact me and register, we've made a diagram in blocks big enough for each team, which will be big enough for a car, posters, diagrams, whatever else you may want to show off, and still have sitting room for key personnel on each team. It's on a first-come, first-serve basis, but I doubt we'll fill the place. Teams just have to paint up a car however they want in hopes that it attracts some sponsors, set it in their block, add whatever else they want, and try to land sponsorship. I think it'll be a great turnout, as we're doing a lot of advertising." The sponsor fair is set for Monday, June 18th through Wednesday, June 20th. (BDR) (5/27/07)
