McCreadie, Fellows, Quiroga Jr. to RCR Richard Childress Racing announced this morning the addition of 3 highly-respect talents to its 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series roster in Tim McCreadie, Ron Fellows, and German Quiroga Jr. McCreadie, the 2006 World of Outlaws Champion and 2006 Chili Bowl winner, will join Cup Series star Clint Bowyer in the #2 BB&T Chevy, driving an undetermined amount of races, but primarily at short track events. "I can't thank Richard Childress enough for re-signing me to his team for next season," said McCreadie. "I'm 33 years old now, so my time in racing won't last forever but I'm delighted to have a chance to make my mark near the top of the racing hierarchy in the Nationwide Series." Joining Bowyer and McCreadie will be Canadian-born road course specialist Ron Fellows, who will drive the #2 at all 4 road course events in 2008. The signing marks Fellows as an immediate favorite to win each race, as his pedigree of success is nearly unmatched. With 5 wins in just 40 races in the top 3 national series, Fellows brings an expert opinion to the road course program of RCR. Another road course specialist teaming with RCR in '08 will be Mexico native German Quiroga Jr., who will be behind the wheel of the #29 Holiday Inn Chevy for 2 road course events. Quirogo, while a new name to NASCAR having just one race under his belt (earlier this season with Jay Robinson Racing), he does bring an impressive resume as a multi-year competitor in the NASCAR Corona Series of Mexico and the 2004 Mexican Formula Renault championship.
