Kvapil gets sponsorship from Penske, Citi for '08 Penske Racing and #77 driver Travis Kvapil announced this morning from the team's race shop that the team will feature 2 primary sponsors next season for 18 races each. Team owner Roger Penske's Penske Truck Rentals will showcase its distinct bright yellow paint scheme for half the season, while new sponsor Citi Financial leaves Robert Yates Racing to jump aboard with Kvapil and the 3-car Dodge organization. "We're really excited to be able to showcase two different companies next season," said Penske. "Obviously, having one of my own companies is unique but I'm looking forward to it, and Citi is really going to be footing the bill for the season and they've got some really neat promotions up their sleeve, so I couldn't be more excited to bring them into the Penske Racing family." Penske Truck Rentals, headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, is a truck rental business that features very distinct and noticeable yellow trucks. It was founded by Penske in 1969 and has grown to include locations in the US, Canada and Mexico. Citi Financial, part of Citigroup, dates back to its charter from New York state in 1812, and is known as one of the "Big 4" banks of the United States. Kvapil currently stands in 16th in the point standings, with 1 top 5 and 5 top 10 finishes, a year after finishing in 5th with a series-leading 23 top 10 finishes, including the only 3 victories of his career.
