Schrader becomes minority owner of FRM Front Row Motorsports and driver Ken Schrader announced today that the Cup Series veteran has bought a 5% stake in the company, and will become a partial owner, specializing in driver development. Schrader, who has competed in 8 of the 28 races he is slated for this season, will also bring in partial sponsorship in Federated Auto Parts, a company Schrader has a long relationship with. Schrader will trim his schedule down substantially for next season, driving just 14 races with Federated Auto Parts on the hood for all of those races. The remainder of the schedule will be filled out by the other 3 drivers introduced by team owner Bob Jenkins: Greg Sacks will drive the 4 restrictor-plate tracks, Andy Lally will drive at the 3 road course races, and the other 15 races will feature Shelby Howard, who will be in his first Cup Series action when he makes his debut in 2008. "I'm really excited for next season," said Jenkins. "We've got a really nice thing lining up here, and Kenny is bringing a lot of valuable insight to the team. We have a new contract to drive Fords next season, and we will re-number to 52, that's Kenny's one request." Jenkins also mentioned that the team is still looking for more sponsorship, as only Schrader's 14 races with Federated Auto Parts have funding, the remainder are still unfilled.
