Yesterday afternoon, my Windows 8-powered Dell computer fell victim to a problem that was determined to have been related to the video memory unit. Thus, the computer will have to be shipped to Dell for maintenance. When it will be back is something I cannot confirm at the moment, but what CAN be said is that the computer's data has been preserved by the place that my family got the computer from, so I'm happy to report that ASCS Season 2 will proceed as normal once my computer returns, but things could be on hold for a while. Stay tuned to this thread for further updates.

That sucks man. I honestly think I'd have to be admitted to a mental institution if something like that happened to me haha.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!
My computer has returned from treatment and is all better! In fact, remember when I said that it had to be shipped for Dell for maintenance? Well, turns out that wasn't the case. In reality, the guy that gave my family the computer was actually able to fix it by means of over-the-phone instructions from a Dell employee, which meant that my computer never left my home state, and my dad was able to bring home just a few minutes ago. Best of all, no data was lost in the process.
But now, the most important point: Coca-Cola All-Star Challenge II will proceed as scheduled this coming Friday (assuming the tie in the fan vote between Kenny Wallace and Dave Blaney is broken before voting ends).

Citizens of NR2003 Mock Season, It is with great regret that I must announce that two things have put an end to my current mock season plans.
First...is continuing computer troubles. Yesterday afternoon, my computer, which was thought to have been fixed, suddenly decided to have problems again. This made it clear that whatever the problem was before has NOT been fixed.
Of course, this isn't the only thing that contributed to my decision.
The second, and most significant, reason behind my decision is lack of motivation. You see, in the hours after my computer crapped out again, I was asking myself, "Is this mock season thing something I really wanna continue long-term if computer problems are gonna keep getting in my way?" Well, after thinking for a few hours, I decided that it would be better for me to just pull the plug on my current mock season rather than risk losing my mind over trying to keep it going despite constant computer troubles.
I hope you all understand why I made this decision. I know I could have just continued my mock season once computer troubles were behind me once and for all. But I repeat, I no longer have any motivation to keep this going, and I'm pretty sure that motivation won't rise from the dead once I get my computer back. Lives being turned upside-down by inconvenience is never easy to deal with, especially if you're someone with autism...like me.
As an autistic person, plot-twists in life aren't easy for me to deal with. As I already mentioned, normal people would likely just put their mock season on hold until they were certain nothing would get in the way for the rest of their season, but as an autistic person that is dealing with two computer crap-outs in one week, continuing season 2 of the All-Star Cup Series is out of the question.
This doesn't mean I'm retiring from mock seasons as a whole, though. I'll just be taking a leave of absence from the idea for now and directing my attention towards other things in my life. I might start my mock season career back up in the fall (and possibly do my first mock season based off a real season), but for now, there's other things I'd like to attend to.
Thank you for (hopefully) understanding.
Your friend and comrade,
Caleb "BobbyRicky62" Norman

That's too bad man, but I totally understand about losing the motivation. If my computer crapped out, I'd call it quits without even thinking twice.
