-Race Note #1: On the 2nd restart of the day, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. restarted 2nd and was being held up on the high side by the slow car of Lance Hooper. Earnhardt spun Hooper going into turn 1 on lap 25, sending the #23 WCW Pontiac into the wall and flipped over after being hit by Jeff Purvis. Earnhardt was not penalized because Hooper failed to give way to the leaders on the restart.
