After the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park last saturday, two team owners gave important information about the 2004 season.
James Finch, owner of Phoenix Racing, brought the information that Jamie McMurray will be in the team in 2004 driving the #1 in the Busch Series and the Nextel Cup #09, the second in some races.
McMurray is on the team of Chip Ganassi doing the Winston Cup and has had terrible performance. Rumors have indicated that he was leaving. McMurray had been driving the #1 in the Busch Series with David Stremme.
The second news is hardly surprising: the 33-year old driver Buckshot Jones is closed to drive the #99 of Michael Waltrip Racing in 2004.
Jones has had a reasonable performance with Waltrip's #00 in Winston Cup. Buckshot does not run in the Busch Series since 2001, when he drove the car to his father at Homestead Miami.
