TRG Motorsports signs Clay Rogers: TRG Motorsports has just signed X1-R Hooters Pro Cup Series ace Clay Rogers to drive a 3rd TRG Motorsports entry for 10 races in the 2008 Craftsman Truck Series season. Rogers will drive the #77 Chevrolet with sponsorship coming from Anderson's Maple Syrup. Owner Kevin Buckler stated "This is great to provide a car for Clay Rogers. He is great short track driver and he is a great mentor for T.J. and Donny. He ran well in races with Spears Motorsports last year and I was surprised no one signed him to a contract." Hernandez to Morgan-Dollar? CONFIRMED: 27 year-old Camping World East series driver Jesus Hernandez will drive the #47 Morgan-Dollar Motorsports entry on a part-time schedule. No word on how many races Hernandez will run. (ESPN.com)

New team joins NCTS for a limited schedule: After success during last year's ARCA Remax Series season, owner Ken Appling will take a leap forward as he will field an entry for 23-year old Jeremy Clements. Clements will drive the #3 Bourdeax's Butt Paste Chevrolet Silverado for 5 races. The team has hopes for running a full schedule in 2009 if more sponsorship can be found.

Gillett Evernham Motorsports makes return to Truck series: After a two-year hiatus, Gillett Evernham Motorsports will make its return to the Craftsman Truck Series and will field 2 cars for the season. Furthermore, drivers had been named for the two rides. Kevin Swindell, a Gillett Evernham Motorsports development driver, will pilot the #98 Dodge Motorsports/Stanley Tools Dodge Ram and will run 15 races. In addition, Kevin will compete for the Rookie of the Year title. On the other hand, veteran Casey Atwood will drive the #79 Castrol Dodge Ram for 8 races. (SPEED)

Roush Fenway Racing to field 2 more cars on a limited basis: Owner Jack Roush has decided to field 2 more trucks to go along with the full time entries of #6 Colin Braun and #99 Erik Darnell. Danny O'Quinn, Jr., who drove for Roush full-time in the Busch Series in 2006 will drive the #50 Ford F-Series truck with sponsorship from Citi Financial. The other entry will be piloted by Canadian driver Peter Shepherd. Shepherd, drove some races for Roush the last 2 years, will drive the #06 Flowmaster Ford. Flowmaster will also be an associate sponsor for the Roush Fenway Trucks until 2012.

Peters to run full-time with Red Horse Racing: Timothy Peters will get a chance at a full-time ride as he will pilot the #17 Tahoe Smokeless Toyota Tundra for the entire 2008 season. He will join David Starr as Red Horse Racing will field two entries for the first time. Owner Tom DeLoach is excited about the opportunity of two talented drivers giving them the best shot at the championship. In addition, DeLoach hinted at a 3rd entry for the team if more sponsorship is found.

Key Motorsports works deal with development driver: Key Motorsports has worked out a deal with Dustin Skinner, the son of current Truck Series driver Mike Skinner for Dustin to run a part-time schedule. Dustin will run the #44 Key Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado for 3 races during the 2008 campaign.
Here are the 3 races Dustin will run: 1. Kentucky (Race 13) 2. Martinsville (Race 21) 3. Phoenix (Race 24)

Rusty Wallace Racing to field trucks: Not only will Rusty Wallace Racing field entries for the 2008 Nationwide Series season, but he will also field a truck for the 2008 Truck Series season also. Max Papis, an Italian-born road racer, will drive the #62 Airgas Chevrolet Silverado for 6 races in the 2008 schedule. In addition, Honeywell, Fidelis and Atreus will join as associate sponsors for Max's team. Here is the schedule for Max Papis:

Bill Davis Racing to add more drivers? CONFIRMED: Bill Davis Racing has added drivers Phillip McGilton, Tayler Malsam and Michael Annett to its driver lineup. McGilton will drive the #27 Three Wide Life Toyota Tundra for the first 8 races during the season. McGilton could run more races if more sponsorship is available. Plus, Tayler Malsam will drive the #24 Toyota Tundra for 4 races during the season. So far, plans are unknown for Michael Annett.
