I'm sure you're all aware that the awesome Cup2000 mod was released to high anticipation yesterday. I was one of the many people to download it on day one, but when I actually started it up in the game for the first time, there was a problem. The cars were appearing on the track without their tires or undersides. In other words, it was just the car bodies appearing on the track, and nothing but them. The cars look normal on the Player Info and Opponent Manager screens, but during actual gameplay, they look like a bunch of futuristic hovercrafts racing around the track! I've already brought this up on SRD, but I figured I'd bring it here too. I asked on SRD if I was missing a certain something that was needed to get the mod to look right, and was told that I likely was. And judging by all the screenshots of the Cup2000 mod in action (with visible tires and undersides), I may indeed be missing something.
So now let me ask this: Do certain NR2003 mods need a certain program to look right in-game? I ask because I'm having a similar problem with the Gen-6 mod. The tires appear, but aren't animated. I'll check to see if any other mods I have are suffering from this problem later, and I might post a few screenshots further detailing the issue. But for now, I'd like to see if anyone can help me out here.

Have you tried to reinstall the mod? It may be that reinstalling, the tires may reappear.

As promised, here are some screens detailing my problem: Here's the mod in the Opponent Manager looks normal, right? Well, now here it is in-game: Yeah, uh...this doesn't look right. During my testing however, I noticed something else: Apparently, the tires DO appear when the car's close enough, but they're inanimate. Inanimate tires are present on other mods too, like Gen6. So there's my problem in a nutshell. I'll try Chad's suggestion later unless someone else has a better solution.

This doesn't look like a mod problem. It's in your graphical settings.
On the main NR2003 screen, click on "Options". Then, click on the 2nd tab from the left called "Graphics". In the first section called "Detail Levels", set "Car Quality" to medium or higher. It's likely set as the lowest option.

Well, I feel like a complete idiot for not realizing that it was a simple graphical problem, but yeah...increasing car quality worked! Thanks for the help, my friend.
