After 9 DNQs in 25 races, the owner of BAM Racing, Elizabeth Morgenthau, decided to fire Ken Schrader.
In a short statement to the press, Morgenthau said "Schrader did not meet the expectations of the team" and that "the sponsors were upset with him".
BAM Racing also announced Derrike Cope on #49 in the races he is not in the #37 - Friendly's Ice Cream withdrew its sponsorship with Quest Motor Racing. In the other races, the car will be with veteran Rich Bickle.
Schrader was not found to talk about the situation. For 2004, it probably he will race for his own team in the Truck Series, while Morgenthau will have to find a driver to make a full season in BAM Racing.
